Keynote speaker set!

The Philip K. Dick Conference 2016 is pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Ursula Heise, Professor of English at UCLA and a faculty member of UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES). She is a 2011 Guggenheim Fellow and was President of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment (ASLE) in 2011. Science fiction, and particularly PKD, has been a central literature for her dynamic and important scholarship. The forward-looking nature of her work matches our theme of “Philip K. Dick, Here and Now” and promises a powerful keynote that will open productive insights into PKD’s work and its value.
