Philip K. Dick Conference 2016

Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, 2016

The call for papers is now closed. We look forward to a great conference! We will begin to up date this section of our site with information to make your stay more enjoyable, including hotel and restaurant information.

Held on the California State University, Fullerton campus, this conference celebrates the work of Philip K. Dick, whose papers were deposited in our Special Collections. Our theme is Philip K. Dick, Here and Now, exploring his influence on science fiction literature and film and the continued value of his work in helping us understand our science fictional world.

An exhibit in the Pollak Library Atrium Gallery, co-sponsored by the Art Department, will feature key works from Special Collections and new art inspired by PKD.

Keynote talk by Dr. Ursula Heise. Plenary talk by Jonathan Lethem, co-sponsored by the Patrons of the Library. Recollections of and reflections on PKD by Tim Powers and James Blaylock, sf authors and alums of CSUF. Many more guests to come!

Sponsored by the English Department, Acacia, and The Creative Writing Club.
